Sizzling Night at the North Pole

It was so cool to see the hot musical FELA! on Friday night after spending all day traipsing through the blizzard in NYC. Dancing and rocking my “clock” in the Eugene O’Neill theatre was just what the boogie doctor ordered – (I kid that I feel like I’ve moved to the North Pole with all the snow!….I’m a wimp after living my last 17 years in Dallas, TX).

Based on Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s life in Nigeria – a political icon and Afrobeat legend – it is both history lesson and nightclub extravaganza (they serve wine/beer) rolled into one. The young lady next to me was prone to texting during the hottest parts (maybe she was tweeting about it?) Whatever rocks your clock – paying big bucks for a seat in the orchestra section and reading your glowing hand held device (wasn’t even an iPhone) just well….I have no words for it…. Maybe you do…

Do check out FELA! with or without your PDA….
